Keratex Hoof Wash

A powerful disinfectant cleansing wash for the complete hoof and lower leg.

Where there is a need to soak infected hooves it is essential to use a formulation that contains no oxidising agents as these are harmful to the molecular structure of hoof horn and skin. Keratex Hoof Wash is an advanced disinfectant active against bacterial and fungal organisms found in the hoof, but without any adverse effects to horn or skin.

Supplied in 1 litre plastic jerrycans, which in total will dilute to make 125 litres of active solution.

User Notes:

Many barefoot regimes advocate soaking the hooves to combat infections in the frog, but we have found that one of the main products recommended and used on barefoot horses, while a superb disinfectant, contains Chlorine compounds which will destructure hoof horn and other keratin based structures. Keratex Hoof Wash has been formulated to actively combat infections, but without any negative effect on the molecular structure of hoof horn or skin.

Keratex Hoof Wash is very economical to use either in proprietary soaking boots, or as a scrub applied with a stiff brush. Dilute 40 ml of Keratex Hoof Wash in every 5 litres of water used – do not use it undiluted.
