Happy Hoofwear Horseshoes

The
Happy HoofWear™ philosophy is pretty simple... we care about our
horses and we wanted to design a product that is both affordable
and offers the benefits that today's technology gives us - all
for our equine friends.
Happy
HoofWear™’s product was developed by Sylvia Norris, the
President of Happy HoofWear™. Sylvia is a relatively recent, but
wholly devoted, convert to the horse world. She came to love all
things equine and she believes color is a great way to express
herself along with her barn buddy, Rush On by Susie. So she
asked about colorized horseshoes and found that no one could
really satisfy her expectations…for quality, color and
comparative pricing.
WHY is our horseshoe
THE SHOE
to have on your horse?
One of the most
important things to us is not just that we provide you with
a product with really cool colors - we want to deliver a
really good product too. We think we have improved upon the
things we believe the other horseshoe suppliers may have
missed or forgotten... it needs to meet the needs of the
horse, the owner and the farrier!
HAPPY HOOFWEAR™
SHOES ARE GOOD FOR HORSES WITH LAMINITIS, NAVICULAR DISEASE,
AND FOR TREATING ABSCESSES AS WELL AS OTHER HOOF PROBLEMS?
Again, while we worked with farriers to design our shoes and
gave shoes to many farriers in the USA (and Canada) to test
as well, we will always tell you to rely on the experts who
know your horse.
Our
shoes are made of polyurethane, which is a very flexible
material that, according to experts, is better for the
health of your horse’s hoof. Our shoes have some "give" so
the full impact of your horse’s walk, trot, lope, canter or
jump is not transferred solely to the horse’s hooves and
legs and joints, but is dispersed to the shoe itself -
almost like a sneaker for your horse!

Fascinating Facts About Happy hoofwear Horseshoes:
No Special Tools
Our
shoes do not require any special equipment whatsoever. Your
farrier should be able to use the same nails he or she would
normally use and no one needs to watch a video, read a manual or
take any class.
A
Sneaker For Your Horse
Not to get
too technical, but our shoes are made of a material
(polyurethane) that has a proven track record for safety and is
healthy for your horse’s hooves. We’ve just made them cooler -
so you can “Keep on riding, only in style!™”
Easy
Sizing
Our
horseshoe sizes are the common US sizes and not European sizes
you have to convert. We make it even easier for EVERYONE to know
their horse’s shoe size. If you can point and click - your done
- our product sizing couldn’t be easier. Print out the actual
size sample and match it to your horse’s hoof. No guess work and
better yet - no mathematical formulas to calculate! We have two
styles of shoes we offer - the regular and extended version.
Flexible Nail Placement
The nail
bed is slightly "slanted" (my language not the engineers) so the
farrier can again have control as to where and how the nails are
placed - this allows for more flexibility and precision for the
farrier. If you read up on horse hoof health, you know that the
shoe should be made to fit the horse - not the other way around.
The nail bed is continuous on the sides of the shoe, except near
the top where the toe clip is located. Other shoes have
pre-drilled holes, which we think limits the farrier’s choice of
where to best place the nails. Farriers know what they need to
give your horse the best shoe fit. They are the experts and we
hope our shoe gives them the flexibility and precision they
want.
Trouble free Hoofpicking
The
underside of the shoe has 5 "grooved" sections. Hoofpicking can
be a real pain when you can’t see or access the underside of
your horse’s shoe. We think our design will make this task a lot
easier – for you and your horse.
Toe
Clip Options
Our toe
clip is angled. Our farriers have said that the square toe clips
that some shoes have are a nuisance, because when they need to
file or rasp, the toe clip too often gets filed as well. This
weakens the clip and takes away from the purpose it should
serve. If your farrier does not want the the toe clip, it can be
easily removed.
Comfort and Health
We have
also improved the shoe design by putting an angle (small but
effective according to the farriers) in both the inside and
outside of the center of the shoe. This relieves any sharp
pressure that can exist when the horse moves.
Traction and Safety
Last, but
not least, we thought about how important it is to have traction
when you need it. Our shoes have a textured bottom and with our
extended model, you get the extra benefit of three special
“traction” bars strategically located to give you additional
security in your ride!

works for you - works for us.
